F Lincoln Bedell

Newport, NH: F. Lincoln Bedell, 76, passed away at his home in Newport on February 12, 2021. He grew up in Norwalk, CT and lived most of his life in that area.  

Lincoln attended Hampshire College in Massachusetts.  He was brilliant, extremely well read, and a gifted mathematician.  He was humble, kind, and never complained.  He was a great Backgammon player and hosted tournaments for some of the world's most  elite players. 

Lincoln moved to New Hampshire in the 1990's to care for his aging mother and spent the rest of his life here.  He was a bit of a hermit, with the mindset of an Old Yankee, but he was also compassionate and fun. 

Lincoln will be fondly remembered by his extended family, neighbors and friends in NH, and his longtime friend, Patricia Sturges. 

He was predeceased by his parents, Frank F Bedell and Frances H (Harvey) Starkweather.
