Gavin Warner Eriksson, 35, of New London, NH, passed away unexpectedly the morning of Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Gavin grew up in Sunapee, NH, son of the late Gilbert Eriksson and Christine Eriksson, maternal grandson of the late David Warner and Helena Warner of Melrose, MA. He is survived by his brother, Max Eriksson, of Park City, UT, and his sister Jennifer Liston, brother-in-law Glenn Liston, and nephew Theodore Liston of Miami, FL, brothers Sean Edmond, Jason James and Kevin James, Jr., aunt Patricia Graham and cousin Nicholas Graham of Derry, NH, cousin David Graham and wife Rachel Graham of Maynard, MA, cousin Sean Toomey of Amesbury, MA, and the Grant family of Sunapee: George, Deborah, Timothy, Nicholas, Hannah, Mary, Heidi and many nieces and nephews.
An attendee of Sunapee High, Gavin was an excellent baseball player and star of his English class, where his love of literature began. He was a highly skilled craftsman, building stone walls all over the Upper Valley and beyond throughout the seasons, with his favorite time to build being in the crisp autumn air with his brother and friends. An avid music lover, he attended Full Sail University, earning a degree in sound engineering. A nature and animal lover, Gavin felt most at home in the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking, skiing and swimming in his home of New England. Gavin was loved by many, and had friends all over the country from touring with his favorite bands, Phish and The Breakfast. He truly loved and cherished his vibrant live music community and family he was a part of; he will be terribly missed by those who knew the kind, sensitive and intelligent soul Gavin was.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 32 Beech St., Newport, NH on Saturday, April 30th at noon followed by an internment at Eastman Cemetery, 490 N. Rd., Sunapee, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Upper Valley Humane Society in Gavin's honor.
