Geraldine "Gerry" Martin

Newport, NH: Geraldine "Gerry" Martin, lifelong resident of Newport, NH, sadly passed away on April 5, 2025 after a period of declining health.

Gerry was born on April 10, 1943 to the late Theodore and Phyllis (Johnston) Hooper.

She worked for over 30 years at Woodlawn Care Center. She was a very hard worker and would do anything to help and support her family. She loved spending time with them and being there for them. She enjoyed having pets, watching movies, and loved angels.  She had quite a collection of angels. There were times she got to ride on a motorcycle with her friend Alan, and she loved it!

Gerry was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra George; and her siblings: Barbara Russell, Gloria Drown, Pauline Wilson, Diane Follansbee, and Priscilla Haskins.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Wilbur; her sister, Betty Ramspott; her daughter, Wanda George; her son, Danny George and his wife Sharon; her son Tony George; daughter in law, Nicole; and her grandchildren: Warren, Sierra, Kathryn, Marissa, Dakota, Michael, William, and Nikita; many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH, followed by a gathering of family and friends at Lake Church, 314 Sunapee Street, Newport, NH.
