Harriet E. (Davison) Foeppel

Harriet Elizabeth Foeppel (our beloved "Nana") passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday August 19th 2023 at the age of 104 years old. Born in Saskatchewan Canada, she spent her childhood and adult life in Ogdensburg NY where she raised her family and retired from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Department. Harriet enjoyed a long, rewarding retirement in Lake County Florida where she remained active, surrounded by friends, and living independently until she turned 100. She moved to NH for her last year's to be closer to family.

Harriet is predeceased by her 3 siblings (Glendon Davison, Marion Kauffman, and Jean Duprey) and her son Donald L. Putney of Ogdensburg, NY on December 27, 2022.  She is also predeceased by a great grandson, Conner J. Demers, son of Jennifer (Putney) Murphy, in 2005 and by all her dear friends she so cherished throughout her lifetime, especially Gary Downing. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Chayka (David) from Syracuse, her daughter-in-law Gloria (Wallace) Putney of Ogdensburg, NY, her beloved grandchildren Donnie Putney, Ricky Putney, Gina (Henry), and Jennifer (Putney) Murphy, 7 great- grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren as well as a niece and several nephews.

She was a strong, independent woman and hers was a life well lived. May she finally rest in peace with those who went before her who she has so dearly missed over the years. 

There will be no services, but she will be dearly remembered.
