Newport, NH: Ida Lee Taylor Wallace, 74, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was born in Boston, MA on October 31, 1945 (Halloween) to the late Harry and Ida (Burt) Taylor Daniels.
Lee grew up in South Boston before moving to Newport, NH where she raised her family. She worked as a Benefits Counselor for many years at Mass Veteran's Services and most recently as a Home Health Aide. Lee was a very fashionable and color coordinated woman with a love of hats and the color red. She was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed crocheting and playing cribbage. She liked a good turkey sandwich from Leo's Market. Lee was a longtime member of Epiphany Episcopal Church in Newport.
Lee was predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Wallace, in 2002, her parents, granddaughter, Jennifer Wallace, and brothers, Harry and Walter Taylor.
Surviving family include her children, Richard Wallace and his wife, Andrea of Indiana, Kenneth Wallace of Quincy, MA, Leroy Wallace and his wife, Edith of Quincy, MA, Terry Wallace and his wife, Murial Enos of Plymouth, MA, Christine Wallace of Quincy, MA, and Cyndi Riley and her husband, Sam Gauthier of Newport, NH, siblings, James, David, Paul and Charles Taylor, Harriet Driscoll, and Leesa Daniels, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 from 5 - 7 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday at St. Patrick Cemetery in Newport.
