Jane Howlett Obituary

Jane M. Howlett, age 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 3rd 2025 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1951 to the late Charles Seavey, Sr. and the late Bessie Seavey.

Jane got her GED in 1989 and after taking care of her mom for several years she received her certificate for certified nurse's assistant in 2015. She worked at Encore Shoe for many years and then got her dream job at Splitball Bearing (Timken  Aerospace). Jane was very proud of her job there; she became floor leader and inspector. She was there for over 40 years before retiring last year.

Jane lived her life through simple pleasure. You would never know she had a bad day, always so cheerful. She loved spending time with her grandbabies, especially going to their softball games and birthday parties. She would call the kids and start singing happy birthday to them. Jane always looked forward to family get togethers at her daughter Lori's house. She talked a lot about her trip to Las Vegas she took with her sister Mary. She always found time to take her brothers John and Jr., and her sister Dottie to their appointments. She always found time for everyone. She loved to play bingo slot machines, camping and fishing. Her past time favorite was going to the races with the love of her life, the late Arthur Howlett.

Jane was predeceased by her husband Arthur Howlett, her father Charles Seavey and mother Bessie Seavey, and two great grand children, Taevyn Merrill and Sheena Gee.

Jane's surviving family include brothers John Seavey and his girlfriend Jane Heath of Claremont, Charles Seavey and his girlfriend Linda Smith of Newport, two sisters Dottie Tarrien of Newport and Mary Colby and her husband Mike Colby of Sunapee, two daughters Michele Tucker of Newport, and Lori Brehio and her husband Ben Brehio of Lempster, her grandchildren Maryjane and her husband Jeff Barcome of Springfield, VT, Michael Chase, Jr. and his boyfriend Jason Bull of Newport, Kayla Desrosiers and boyfriend Aaron Hodgedon of Newport, Irene Desrosiers and fiancé Dennis Chase of Newport, Samantha Brehio and her fiancé Kyle Washburn, and Amber Brehio and her fiancé Shawn Reed, both of Lempster, her great grand children are Gary Merrill llll of Claremont, Xaevian and Zarina Barcome of Springfield, VT, Star Brehio of Lempster, and Alevander Tucker of Claremont.
