Jean Blish Obituary
Newport, NH: Jean M. Blish, 68, passed away at her home in Newport on June 28, 2023. She was born on September 19, 1954 in Springfield, VT to the late John H. Salo and Rita M. (Smith) Salo.
Jean married James Blish and they shared 40 years together. Jean worked at Ruger, Dorr Woolen, and Smith Medical in Keene, NH. She was hardworking and fun to be around. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and computer games. Jean loved animals and taking rides with Jim.
Jean was predeceased by her parents and an infant son, Jason Blish. Surviving family members include her loving husband, James "Jim" Blish of Newport; sister, Jonni Lynn Willis of Newport; aunt, Brenda Smith of Swanzey; many cousins and extended family members.
Jean will be buried next to her son in a private burial.
