Jeannine (Cote) Raineault

Newport, NH: Jeannine Raineault, 82, passed away peacefully at New London Hospital on January 30, 2025.  She was born on October 20, 1942 in New Britain, CT to the late Eugene and Marie (Talbot) Cote.  

Jeannine was a lovely and kind woman who loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.  She loved snuggling with Stevie, Jr.  Jeannine was a great cook and made feasts for her family.  She spent many years working in kitchens including at Newport High School and at Barner's Rest Home where she enjoyed making delicious meals and spreading joy to children and the elderly.  She also worked at American Hardware for many years.  

Jeannine met and married William "Bill" Raineault, Sr. and they spent 63 years together before his death in 2022.  They raised their family and enjoyed spending time together.  They took trips to Maine and liked spending time around the house.  Jeannine treated all her step and adopted kids as her own, loving them all.  She enjoyed crafts, Christmas trees, and making wreaths.

Jeannine was predeceased by her parents, husband, and stepdaughter, Patricia Raineault.  Surviving family members include her children, Steve Raineault, Sr. and his wife Amanda, and Jeff Raineault and his wife, Pam, all of Newport; stepson, Billy Raineault, Jr. and his wife, Francine of New Britain, CT; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 11, 2025 at 1 PM at Saint Patrick Catholic Church in Newport, NH.  Burial will be later in New Britain, CT.
