John J Surprise

John J. Surprise, resident of Claremont, New Hampshire, passed away on May 19, 2022 at his home. John was born in Worcester on July 25, 1948 son of the late John A. Surprise and Albina  R. (Gouin) Surprise.
He leaves a daughter Stacey Berthiaume, Dudley MA and three grandchildren Nicholas, Timothy and Lindsey. Brother Donald H Surprise of Blackstone, MA, Sister Janet A. Collette and her Husband Steve C. Collette of Oakham, MA, three nieces and  five nephews, his hunting and fishing best friend Clarence "Sonny" Sweetser of Claremont.  Brother-in-law Lawrence "Larry" Flint, Newport NH.
Marie T Flint (sister) Newport, NH was predeceased and his fiancé Mary Batchelder, Claremont.
John lived most of his life in Worcester MA  and he attended Worcester State college. He moved to Claremont 35 years ago. John loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping.  He and Sonny caught their share of fish through New England and even winning a prize at the Lake Winnipesaukee Fishing Derby.
John worked at several locations Rockingham Electrical, Liberal Beef and was a Manager at Big Lots before he retired.
A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 5, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home 42 Main St Newport NH.
