Newport, NH - John W. Nichols, 56, passed away due to complications of Covid-19 at DHMC in Lebanon, NH on October 13, 2021.
He was born in 1964 in Newport, NH to John G. and Patricia (Santti) Nichols. John lived in Newport all his life and enjoyed working at Dorr Woolen, Joy Manufacturing, and LaValleys. He was also a talented welder. You could often find him fishing, hunting, or teaching his beloved nieces and nephews about the outdoors. John was kind-hearted, had a great sense of humor, loved playing pranks, and could tell the best stories. He loved his family deeply and will be missed by them every day.
He was predeceased by his father, John G. Nichols and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Santti) Nichols of Newport, daughter, Kayla (Nichols) Childs of Canaan, granddaughter, Eiley Grace, brother, Bradley Nichols of Newport, sisters, Shelley Moulton and husband Chris Moulton of Hillsboro, and Debbie Miller and husband Steve Miller of Sunapee, ex-wife, Debbie DeVoid of Quechee, VT and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private service will be held at a later date
