Lempster, NH - Joseph E. Herman, Jr., 82, passed away at his home in Lempster on December 9, 2020 after a period of declining health. He was born on October 17, 1938 in Chelsea, MA to the late CDR Joseph E. Herman, Sr. and Teresa (Northcott) Herman.

Joe grew up in Massachusetts and moved with his family to several Naval bases around the country. He married his wife, Nancy (Menard) Herman, in 1983 and they have lived in Lempster for more than 20 years.

Joe was a kind, hardworking man who everybody loved. He worked for many companies as an Industrial Engineer. He loved to ski, play tennis, and enjoyed bowling. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Joe was predeceased by his parents.

Surviving family include his wife, Nancy Herman of Lempster, daughters, Debra Anne Herman Power, Denise Marie Herman, and Marla Jean Herman-Cheverie, sisters, Joann Ahlberg and her husband, Rich, and Diana Roppo and her husband, Jim, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many extended family members.
