Kathie J. (Fraser) Stackpole

Newport, NH: Kathie J. Stackpole, 67, passed away at Sullivan County Nursing Home on February 7, 2020 after a period of declining health.  She was born on October 19,1952 in Claremont, NH to Albert Fraser, Sr. and Beverly (Blish) Fraser. 

Kathie spent her life taking care of children, both her own and at Newport preschools.  She loved reading and quilting.  Kathie was very active at her church, singing in the choir and volunteering her time in so many ways, including cooking the roast beef dinners for more than 30 years. 

Surviving family include her husband, Nelson Stackpole of Newport, sons, Christopher Stackpole and his wife, Cori of Newport, and Timothy Stackpole of Newport, brothers, Albert Fraser, Jr., and Ralph Dyke, sisters, Gail Fraser, and Amy Philbrook, and grandchildren, Danyel Stackpole, Kelcie Eaton, Christyan Pico, and Kelsey Brodeur.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 22, 2020 at 11 AM at the Newport United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. A Celebration of the Life of Kathie Stackpole will be held at the  Newport United Methodist Church on Sunday afternoon April 5 (Palm Sunday) at 3 PM.
