Kathleen "Kathy" LaFountain Obituary
Newport, NH: Kathleen "Kathy" Proper LaFountain died peacefully at Dartmouth Medical Center on September 14, 2025 in Hanover, NH at the age of 73.
Kathy was born August 3, 1952 in St. Albans, VT to Horace and Elanor Proper.
She was married to Gary LaFountain, Sr. in 1969. They lived in Newport, NH and had 4 children: Laura LaFountain of Newport, NH, Cindy LaFountain, Barbara Conway of Boston, MA, and Gary LaFountain, Jr. of Newport, NH.
Kathy had many different jobs through her life, but near the end she was an assistant manager at Global in Newport. She loved reading and playing lottery and bingo.
Kathy is predeceased by her husband Gary, parents Horace and Elanor, siblings Jerry, Mick, and daughter Cindy.
Surviving family members are daughter Laura LaFountain and partner Joe Driscoll, daughter Barbara Conway and husband Malachi, son Gary LaFountain, grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Craig, Paul Jr., Alyssa, Cora, Griffin, Tucker, and her great granddaughter Kinsley.
