Kenneth James Glidden

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kenneth James Glidden. Kenneth was born February 11, 1959 in Newport NH to Stanley and Elenor (Ford) Glidden. He passed away December 19, 2022 at Valley Regional Hospital after losing his battle with cancer. He was a beloved Brother, Father and Grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Anyone would say Kenneth was the type of person that would “give you the shirt off his back” if it was all he had to give. He had a smile that could light up the day. He was a jack of all trades but specialized in electronics. He was a long-time employee for Sturm Ruger until getting injured on the job. After that he studied electronics and went to work for Radio Shack and Dish Network, and repaired electronic devices on the side such as computers, TVs, DVD/VCRs, etc. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix or build. He was a perfectionist, making sure everything he did was done correctly.

Kenneth had six children, Adam and Kenneth James II “KJ” by his first marriage to Debra Terrian, and Joshua, Leann, Mathew and Katie by his second marriage to Linda Santorella. In his last hours he mentioned several times how proud he was of his children and who they had become. He also mentioned how thankful he was to have such a great friend in Ed Day and in his sister-in-law Kathy Glidden.

Kenneth is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Elenor (Ford) Glidden; five brothers: Duane, Donnie, Larry, Kim and Stanley Jr. “Skippy”; four sisters: Donna, Diane Kangas, Julie Gagne and Sandra Godsoe.

Kenneth is survived by his six children: Adam & wife to be Stacy Dull, KJ & wife April, Joshua, Leann, Mathew Crowe and wife Laura, and Katie; eight grandchildren and one grandchild on the way; two sisters, Pam Joslin and Patricia Glidden.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport.
