Landon Wright Obituary

Landon Byron Wright, 28, of Newport, NH passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 after a fatal vehicle accident.

He was born in Claremont, NH on August 6, 1991 to Gary Wright, Sr. and Sherie Soule (Wright) Hodge.  Landon graduated from Newport High School in 2010. He attended Paul Smith's College and graduated from Universal Technical Institute as a Master Diesel Technician.

As an avid outdoorsman, Landon fell in love with New Hampshire's North Country and decided to move  to Lancaster.  He worked for Capital Well before joining the Santa's Village family in the maintenance department.  There, he enjoyed being around the deer and maintaining the maple orchard. Most recently, Landon returned to the field of well drilling and was a technician for Carr Well and Pump Services.
He loved exploring the outdoors in his kayak, boat, ATV, and Polaris snow machine. He was a skilled fisherman and loved his time on the ice and water. He was an amazing archer and enjoyed hunting with his bow, as well as with firearms.

In high school, Landon played varsity football and basketball. He also competed on the lumber team in FFA. His best events were ax-throwing and bow saw.

Landon was generous and kind. He encouraged young children to go fishing and enjoy nature. He was funny and loved to bring a smile to the face of others around him. His magnetic and charming personality earned him many friends. His beautiful smile, jokes, and shenanigans will be so greatly missed.

Landon is predeceased by his grandparents, Byron Soule, Exelia Wright, and Morris Wright; and great-grandmother, Melanie Hawkins.
