Larry E. Valcourt

Newport, NH: Larry E. Valcourt, 59, passed away suddenly at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH on September 25, 2022. He was born on October 24, 1962 to Leon and Irene Valcourt.

Larry moved to Newport, NH in 1976 with his family, where his parents purchased Bud's Bowling Lanes. Larry and Pearl purchased Sunset Lanes from Larry's parents in 1999. He was a pro bowler for many years and enjoyed being a business owner in Newport.

Larry was a devoted husband and father. He was the type of person to give the shirt off his back to not only his family, but also his friends. He enjoyed camping, Sudoku, puzzles, and playing board games with his family. He also enjoyed building and fixing things, and spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his father, Leon Valcourt, and his father-in-law Robert Laferte, Sr.

Surviving family members include his wife of 24 years, Pearl Valcourt; daughter, Robin Lawrence and her husband Chris of Newport; son, Zachary Germana and his wife Samantha of Manchester; daughter, Whitney Germana of Newport. His grandchildren Kaylee Lawrence of Newport, William Lawrence of Newport, and CJ Lawrence and fiancée, Brooke Beaulieu of Claremont. Great Grandson Julian Lawrence of Newport. His sister Debbie Stender and husband Gregg of Guild; sister, Rhonda Dowling and husband Mike of Lebanon; sister, Joanne Mason and husband Doug of Sunapee; brother, Dan Valcourt and wife Karen of Grantham; sister, Brenda Tewksbury and husband Mark of Cornish; brother, Dennis Valcourt and wife Melissa of Charlestown; his mother, Irene Valcourt of Newport; his mother-in-law Linda Duquette and husband Gary of Claremont; brother-in-law, Bobbi Laferte and wife Shannon of Claremont; sister-in-law, Heather Laferte of Claremont; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Friday September 30, 2022 from 5-8 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday October 2, 2022 from 1-4 PM at the Croydon Fire Station.  This will be a potluck, please bring a dish to the fire house to share.
