Louise M. (Champney) Richards

Louise M. Richards, 82, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on June 6, 2022.  She was born on August 24, 1939 in Acworth, NH to the late Robert F. and Laura M. (Thurber) Champney. 

Louise lived in Lempster her entire life.  She grew up on her family farm and has always had a love for plants and the outdoors.  She was a hardworking woman, never one to sit around.  She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, doing ceramics, and bowling.  Louise was a huge Elvis fan.  She loved her family and was always spoiling her grandchildren. 

Louise was predeceased by her parents; partner, Dick Lounder; son, Raymond H. Champney; and brothers, Robert, Gary, and Don Champney.

Surviving family members include her children, Anita Sturtevant and her husband, Kerry, Howard Richards, Jr., Theresa Lounder, and Naomi Edds; brothers, Arnold and Dan Champney; son-in-law, Tommy Edds; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and many extended family members. 

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11 AM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.  Burial will follow in Lempster Cemetery in Lempster.
