Martha Sampson Obituary

Martha Stacy Sampson passed away peacefully on November 7, 2020.

Martha was born in Claremont, NH on June 5, 1940 to the late Ruth E. And James H. Stacy. Martha attended Claremont schools. She and her late husband Ronald A. Sampson built a home in Newport where she spent the rest of her life. Martha was predeceased by her sisters Mary Schafer and Carol McKenzie.

Martha enjoyed reading, animals, baking cookies for people and spending time with her granddaughter who was the light of her life. Martha worked at Richards School, Ames and Sturm Ruger.

Martha is lovingly remembered by her son Michael, his wife Leslie, granddaughter Cameo Sampson, her husband Seth Brown, great grandsons Morgan and Chase, brother Harry Stacy, sister Joan Stacy as well many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to all at Woodlawn Care Center especially Martha’s favorite nurse Tammy for their compassion and care of Martha over the last several years.

A private family service will be held. Newton-Bartlett is assisting the family with arrangements.
