Martha "Marty" (Holbrook) Pare

NEWPORT, NH – Martha “Marty” Pare passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025 at New London Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born in Windsted, CT on July 30,1936 to the late Arthur and Marion (Colt) Holbrook.

In 1956, she married Robert Pare. They were married for 41 years until his passing in December 1997. Martha worked at People’s National Bank in Claremont, NH until 1968. From there, she worked at Dunning Dental until she retired in 2017.

She enjoyed going to the casinos and playing penny slot machines, traveling to Aruba and spending time with her family.

Martha is survived by her sons Steven and wife Ida, Kevin and wife Lori. She has three grandchildren, Brett and his partner Sam, Derrick and his wife Morgan and Ashley and her husband Kyle and great-grandchild Elaina Ann Pare. She was predeceased by her two brothers Alan and Gerald.

A celebration of life will be held on April 5, 2025 from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Croydon Fire Department. The burial will be at the convenience of the family.
