Michael McCarthy Obituary
Michael J. McCarthy passed away at his home on December 12, 2025 after along battle with Liver Cancer.
First Born to Eileen Hughes and John Frances McCarthy on August 12, 1950 in London, England.
The family emigrated from Ireland to East Hartford, CT in 1955, then to Newport in 1986.
Mike loved to cook and spend time with friends. He worked in the Hospitality Industry for numerous years, including the Meals on Wheels Program in Newport, Mt. Sunapee Ski Area, The Eagle Inn to name a few.
He is predeceased by his parents and Sister Mary Ann McCarthy.
Mike leaves behind many friends, a brother Daniel and nephew Kevin.
Burial will be this spring on St. Patrick’s Day at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Newport.
