Michael Peplinski, 69, of Newport, NH passed away unexpectedly October 26, 2025.
Michael was born January 10, 1956, in Baltimore, MD to Henry and Jean Peplinski. At an early age, Michael grew to value family and responsibility. He would never quit until the job was done.
Michael married his high school sweetheart, Debra, and they raised three sons on a farm in Granby, CT. Michael grew his career as an Aerospace Engineer working with NASA at UTC. He received his Master's degree at RPI, moved back to MD, then finished his working career as Director of Facilities for Washington County schools in MD, CALU, and the National Conservation Training Center.
Michael leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Debra, his son Thomas, wife Melissa and granddaughter Ruby; son Stephen, wife Heather and grandson Chace; son Alex, wife Bonny and granddaughter Clara. Michael also leaves behind his brother James and his wife Kathleen; his sister-in-law Lisa and husband Jeffrey Golden, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He loved being a grandfather, taking the time to make cookies and going on adventures. Michael enjoyed going to car shows, hiking, biking and solving puzzles together.
He shared his loved of birds, history and architecture with his family. Michael volunteered as a battlefield ambassador at the Antietam National Battlefield.
A memorial service, followed by a reception will be held at South Congregational Church, 20 Church Street, Newport, NH on Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 12-2 PM.
