Michael Robert Schneider, 43, of Newport, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.
Born on October 9, 1982, in Natick, Massachusetts, Mike grew into a man defined by determination and a deep love for the people closest to him. From an early age, he had a strong spirit and a natural sense of adventure. Whether tackling a new challenge or standing beside someone he loved, Mike approached life with courage, humor, and an unwavering heart.
He was a graduate of North Attleboro High School and later earned his degree from Southern New Hampshire University. Through hard work and dedication, he built a successful career as a Senior Analyst with Shields Health Solutions.
Above all, Mike was the beloved husband of Kristin Schneider. He was the cherished son of Merilyn Holmes and Raymond Schneider and a loving brother to Heather Wise. He was a proud uncle to Benjamin and Maximus, whose laughter and energy brightened his world and meant more to him than words could express. He also shared a special bond with his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who were like family to him.
Mike embraced life fully and found joy in the outdoors and the open road. He loved his Jeep and the freedom of riding his motorcycle, always ready for the next adventure. He enjoyed traveling cross-country in his RV, exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories. Summers were often spent on Great Sacandaga Lake in New York and winters found him snowboarding down mountain slopes with fearless enthusiasm. A loyal fan of the New England Patriots, he treasured attending games and cheering on his team.
Athletic and determined, Mike traveled across the country to compete in more than 25 Spartan races, completing the Tri-fecta multiple times. He returned repeatedly to the Pikes Peak Ascent, embracing both the physical challenge and the quiet peace he found in pushing himself to the limit.
Mike will be remembered for his strength, his adventurous spirit, and the way he could light up a room with his humor and energy. He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a later date, with details to be announced soon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mike’s honor to the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation to support continued research and hope for others.
