Newport, NH: Nancy Santti, 77, died Wednesday evening at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, NH.
Nancy was born in Newport, NH on November 22nd, 1945 the daughter of Arthur and Alice Caron, the 10th of 12 children. She remained in the Newport area for the entirety of her life where she raised her six children.
Nancy was a hard worker who enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden, tending to her plants and flowers. She enjoyed camping with her family, watching the birds and wildlife, and especially loved dogs. She loved going on car rides around Goshen and Lempster where she would talk about growing up in the old days, and enjoyed listening to old country music. Daniel O’Donnell was one of her favorite programs to watch and you could find her on Saturday nights sitting in her chair with a smile on her face as she sang along to his songs. She took great pride in caring for her home as well as cleaning others homes for a living. One of her greatest joys was spending time in her kitchen and cooking for her family. Her macaroni and cheese was her specialty, often requested for gatherings. Her family fondly looks back on memories over the years of having a house full of children and grandchildren whom she adored sharing laughter and stories with.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents Alice and Arthur Caron, nine siblings, her former spouse Norman Santti, and lifelong partner and love of her life David Daniels.
She is survived by her two sisters Loretta Whipple and Mary Boutwell; her children, Wanda Santti, Norman Santti and his wife Kara, Timothy Santti, Daniel Santti, Missy Daniels, and Jonathan Daniels and his wife Shannon; six grandchildren, Taylor, Daniel, Katie, Alexa, Hunter, and Haylee; her nephew Richard who she helped raise and loved like her own child and many more family members that she adored.
