Newport, NH - Patricia DiPadova, or Paddy as her friends knew her, concluded her battle with ALS on December 8, 2020 at the age of 58. Paddy enjoyed her life and considered it very well lived. It was filled with joy, happiness, and laughter. She was happiest when surrounded by her children as she was in her final days. In life, Paddy was described as kind, genuine, thoughtful, incredibly smart, and by her son as the “best lady ever”.

Paddy began her journey on October 28, 1962 in Wurtzberg Germany. From there, she spent many of her formative years in Bar Harbor, Maine. This is the place that shaped Paddy into the adventurous woman she became. A town she often called “the best place on Earth”. She then spent much of her life in Newport, New Hampshire where she graduated from high school. After which she attended Dartmouth College where she graduated with a degree in psychology. She went on to earn her MBA from the University of New Hampshire. Paddy spent the last 23 years of her career working for John Snow Inc as a Senior Health Care Consultant.

After grad school, Paddy returned to the town of Newport to raise her three children. She was extremely involved in her community. Paddy spent many years on the Newport School Board, co-founded an organization to improve education in the community, and served on the Newport Opera House Association board.

She is survived by her mother Geraldine Betourney, sister Elizabeth Cannard, brother Aaron Betourney, children Emmett DiPadova (and wife Catherine Joyner), Anthony DiPadova, and Molly DiPadova, and her cats - Maizey and Finley. Though she was greatly saddened to leave these great people (and cats) behind, she is now reunited with her sister Tena Gray, step-father John Betourney, and her beloved dog Rocco.
