Newport, NH :  Paul N. Hoyt, 87, died on January 21, 2022 at the Jack Byrne Center after a brief illness.

He was born in North Newport, NH on June 19, 1934, the son of George I. and Ethel Mae (Emmons) Hoyt.  He graduated from Towle High School in Newport in 1955.

Paul worked for Sturm Ruger for many years before retiring from New England Industries in Lebanon, NH in 1999.  During retirement he moved to the Pearl St. Apartments, where he made many good friends.

He is predeceased by his sisters, Minerva Hoyt, June Rosonsik, and Jean Borders;  brothers, William Hoyt, Raymond Hoyt, Ronald Hoyt, and Ralph Hoyt; and sister-in-law, Marjorie Hoyt.

Members of his surviving family include nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11 AM in the North Newport Cemetery.

Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
