Randolph "Gig" Newton Obituary

Springfield, NH: Randolph "Gig" Gilman Newton passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024 at Cedar Hill Continuing Care in Windsor, VT. He was born on July 15, 1931 to Perley and Abbie (Paul) Newton.

Gig was predeceased by Velma "Tina" Newton, his loving wife of 56 years. He is survived by daughters, Peggy (Wayne) Simoneau, Penny Newton, and Katy Newton; grandchildren, Randy Simoneau, Chelsea Simoneau, and Dylan Doersam; his sister, Sara Reid; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.

As an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, Gig was very devoted to his country and voted in every election. His favorite past times included watching the news and New England sports teams, listening to music and gardening, but his preferred thing to do was to spend time with his family and his dog, Pixie.
