Robert "Bob" Gray Dearborn

Newport, NH: Robert "Bob" Gray Dearborn, 85, of Newport passed away on October 18, 2023.

Bob was born in Boston, MA on June 7, 1938 to Joseph and Rhona (Gray) Dearborn, and raised in Bridgeport, CT.

Bob had a long career in sales and marketing. He later used this experience when he moved to Newport from Washington, and joined the Board of Directors for the Newport Senior Center, furthering the Meals on Wheels program among other initiatives. He was an avid cyclist and enjoyed road trips to visit friends and family. He was a proud and longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

His surviving family includes daughter Lesley Morrey and husband Peter of West Hartford, CT; son Robert Dearborn, Jr. and wife Molly of Portland, OR; brother George R. Dearborn and wife Anna of Valparaiso, IN; grandsons Thomas Dearborn and Jonathan Morrey; niece and nephews Laurel Dearborn of Chicago, IL, Mark Dearborn of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher Dearborn of Carmel, IN, and Matthew Dearborn of Rockwall, TX; and cousin Sandra Pryke of Orleans, MA.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH, with a reception to follow at The Newport Senior Center, 76 South Main Street, Newport, NH. Memorial donations can be made to The Newport Senior Center.
