Robert "Bob" Thomas King, Sr.

Kellyville, NH: Robert "Bob" King, age 92, of Kellyville, New Hampshire, passed away on March 12th, 2024. Bob grew up and attended schools in Unity and North Newport.

He joined the military on January 16th, 1951. He served three years in the Army, completing a tour of duty in the Korean War as a truck driver.

He was employed at Joy Manufacturing for 25 years and Pike Industries for five years.

Bob married Virginia and enjoyed 57 years of marriage before her passing on February 8th, 2009.

Bob is predeceased by one son, Bert King, two grandsons, and five siblings. Bob is survived by one brother, John King of North Newport, by his two daughters, Bonnie King of Newport and Betty Johnson of Charlestown: three sons, Robert (Tom) King of Newport, Brian King of Newport, and William (Bill) King of Claremont, and 17 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

Bob enjoyed haying at many North Newport and Croydon Farms, watching oxen pulling at the Cornish Fair, and reminiscing at the Unity old home days.

Calling hours will be from 5 pm to 7 pm Monday, March 18th at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, with a graveside service being held at 11 am Tuesday, March 19th at North Newport Cemetery, Oak St., Newport.
