Newport, NH - Ronald A. Murgatroy, 80, peacefully passed away on August 26, 2018 at Sullivan County Healthcare.
Born on April 22, 1938 to Raymond and Ellen (Kovisto) Murgatroy, Ron was raised and attended schools in Newport, NH. He graduated from Towle High School in the class of 1958. Ron was employed at Newport Shoe Company and Sunapee Street Shoe Company for several years before becoming a machinist at Joy Manufacturing for over twenty-two years.
Ron was happy to live at Summercrest Senior Living Community.
He is predeceased by his parents, his brother, Raymond Murgatroy, Jr., sister, Shirley Merriam, and his granddaughter, Lisa. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Rollins, and several grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 11 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH.
