Ryan McKenney Obituary

White River Junction, VT: 

Ryan Gilbert McKenney, 39, passed away at home on Tuesday July 6th, 2021. 

Son of Steve and Jill McKenney, Ryan grew up in Newport, NH, playing many sports with his good friends. He played football and basketball for the Newport Tigers, and was also a huge part of the New England Champion Sugar River Rugby team. Ryan had a passion for music absorbing many concerts and musical influences from all genres. He enjoyed time with family, skiing, snowboarding and camping in the White Mountains. He had a flair for always cooking a fantastic meal during the holidays. 

Ryan is survived by his Parents, Steve and Jill McKenney of Newport NH, his brother Matt McKenney and his wife Rebecca of Lebanon, NH, his sister Erin Lovely and her husband PJ of Newport, NH, and nieces and nephews; Gavin, Ryder, Jagger, Damon, Maddox, Emily and Hadley as well as paternal Grandmother Mary McKenney. He is predeceased by his Grandfather Carl McKenney and maternal grandparents Gilbert and Eleanor Morrow. 

The family is offering a short service on Sunday August 29th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Meadow Park in Newport, NH. Following the service, families and friends are encouraged to have a picnic lunch at the park, play some games and have some fun on the playground with the little ones.
