Sheila A. (Lambert) Britton

Newport, NH: Sheila A. Britton, 71, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2023 at the Jack Byrne Hospice Center in Lebanon, NH after many years of declining health.  She was born on February 12, 1952 in Claremont, NH to the late Raymond and Anna (Leskevitch) Lambert. 

Sheila was a smart and talented woman.  She owned and operated Flower Craft, a florist business located in Newport, with her husband, Larry.  She worked several jobs at the Newport Hospital ending as the Purchaser.  She worked in the office at Roymal and at Hartford Eichenauer.  Sheila spent 15 years as an Account Specialist at Claremont Savings Bank, a job that she loved. 

Sheila enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, turning it into a part time business.  She loved reading and enjoyed being on her Kindle in her later years.  Sheila was a Born Again Christian since 1981. 

Sheila was predeceased by her parents, and brothers, Raymond and Richard Lambert.  Surviving family members include her husband of almost 49 years, Larry Britton of Newport; daughter, Meredith Carrien and her husband, Joshua, of Newport; grandson, Mathew Carrien of Newport; sister in law, Carol Lambert; brother in law, Glenn Britton and his wife, Jane; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be held on Thursday March 2, 2023 from 6 - 8 PM at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.  A funeral will be held the following day at 10 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will be private.
