Terence Patrick Reynolds, 81, of Woodlawn Care Center in Newport passed away at New London Hospital due to complications from Covid-19.
Terence was born in South Boston, MA, the second child and eldest son of Terrence Reynolds and Sarah Cochlin of Dedham. MA. He spent the first half of his life in Dedham and surrounding towns. He moved to the Newport/Lake Sunapee area in 1980.
Terence or “Terry”, as he was known, was very proud of his Irish heritage with names like Reynolds, Cochlin, Hennessy, Clarke, O'Brien, Sullivan and Shanly. He was also very interested in searching for ancestors on Ancestry.com. He had taken some trips to County Leitrim, Ireland, to search for the Reynolds side of his family. Mohill, Co., Leitrim was the stronghold of the Reynolds Clan back in the fourteenth century. He collected books about Ireland and his heritage.
He was predeceased by his parents, his four brothers, Jimmy, Richie, Paul and Gerry, and is survived by his two sisters, Sally Hayes of Foxboro, MA and Barbara Silva of Westwood, MA. He is also survived by his son, Sean Reynolds of Harrisburg, PA, his granddaughter, Morgan Billman and her husband Nick of Texas and four great grandchildren.
He is survived by his companion of twenty-four years, Christina “Tyna” Willett, and several nieces and nephews.
