Thalma Salo Obituary

Claremont, NH: Thalma Salo, 89, of Claremont, NH passed away on July 25, 2023.

Thalma was born on November 19, 1933 in Harrisburg, PA to Jesse and Gertrude (Tewksbury) Magee. She worked for 43 years at Dorr Woolen as a Spooler.

She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, making mittens, sweaters, hats, slippers and doilies. She was an avid reader about the Amish and enjoyed V.C. Andrews. She loved cats and dogs, and spending time in her flower garden. She wallpapered her own Victorian home.

Thalma enjoyed classic country music. She also enjoyed traveling, making visits to the White Mountains, Pennsylvania, Virginia, New York, and Montreal, Canada. She was known for being kind and generous and had a heart of gold.

She was predeceased by her parents, her siblings, her husband John Salo, and her son Gary Lader.

Surviving family includes her son Daniel Lader, Sr. of Tampa, FL, her son Donald Lader, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Bath, ME, her daughter Betty Lamery and her husband Alan, Sr. of Claremont, NH, several nieces and nephews, many grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.

A burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at 1 PM.
