Croydon, NH: Thomas W. Bennett, 73, of Croydon, passed away peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center in Lebanon on May 26, 2024.
He was born on November 2, 1950 in Millis, MA, the son of Winifred Watson and Carl Bennett.
Through mutual friends, Thomas met his wife-to-be Denise Perry, and they married in 1986.
Thomas enjoyed running heavy equipment and plowing snow for friends and family. He was employed at the transfer station for the town of Sunapee, and spent time working for the Blue Mountain Forest Association.
Some of Thomas’s interest and hobbies included fishing, boating and camping. He was an avid classic car enthusiast and loved big trucks. Thomas was proud to bring his ’66 Corvette and GTO to area car events.
Thomas loved his family and took pride in providing for them. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is lovingly survived by his wife Denise Bennett, his stepson Chris Roberts and wife Heather, two grandchildren Zachary Roberts and fiancée Anna Iannotti and Morgan Roberts and fiancé Cam Macia, great-grandchild Teagan Roberts, and his sister Holly Bennett and her husband Robert Maraggio of Millis, MA.
At the family’s request, private services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jack Byrne Center, by check if preferred, made out to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health with the note Jack Byrne Center on the memo line, and mailed to the Office of Development, Dartmouth-Hitchcock, One Medical Dr. HB 7070, Lebanon, NH 03756.
Arrangements are in the care of Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., in Newport, NH.
