Newport, NH - Thomas H. Duling, 86, passed away on October 10, 2020 at Woodlawn Care Center.
Thomas was born on September 10, 1934 to the late Herbert and Vivian Duling. He attended school in Sunapee, graduating from Sunapee High School. He worked at Dorr Woolen and Sturm Ruger, but his true passion was being an OHRV instructor for the NH Fish and Game Department for over 55 years. He taught thousands of kids about the safety and responsibility that comes with snowmobiling and hunting. He was a longtime resident of Springfield, NH where he was Health Officer.
Tom was hardworking, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending summers on Kolelemook Lake. He was a member of the Iron Dog Brigade, an honorary society dedicated to the fun of snowmobiling. If he wasn't on a snowmobile, you could find Tom on an ATV or a boat.
He is predeceased by his parents and his sister, Midge Monkton.
Surviving family includes his significant other of 49 years, Arlene Wheeler; his daughter Lori Weed and her husband Wayne of Newport; brothers, Paul Duling and his wife Sandra, and Jim Duling and his wife Barbara; other close family, Lisa Willis and her husband Mike, Linda Wheeler, Paula Corey, Betty Campbell and her husband Scott, Julie Smith and her husband Bub, all of their families, and a niece and several nephews.
A special thank you to all the doctors, LNAs, and nursing staff at Woodlawn Care Center and to LSVNA Hospice for their exceptional care.
