Velma "Tina" Newton Obituary
Springfield, NH: Velma "Tina" May Newton, passed away on January 11, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 20, 1946 in Newport, NH to the late Herman Walker, Sr. and Emma (Laforest) Walker.
Tina married Randolph "Gig" Newton and they shared 56 years together. Tina was very family oriented. Her world was spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was very loving and caring and took in many people over the years who came to think of her as "Mom". Tina also had a feisty side at times with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed flowers, birds, yard sales and music, especially Elvis. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Surviving family members include her loving husband of 56 years, Gig Newton of Springfield, NH; daughters, Peggy Simoneau and her husband, Wayne, of Newport, NH, Penny Newton of Lebanon, NH, and Katy Newton of Astoria, NY; siblings, Barbara Bushway of Lempster, NH, Alice Ayotte of Unity, NH, Herman Walker, Jr. of Charlestown, NH, and Angela Willets of Unity, NH; grandchildren, Randy Simoneau, Chelsea Simoneau, and Dylan Doersam; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
