Vivian M. (LaPorte) Brown

Newport, NH: Vivian M. Brown, 94, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side on December 25, 2025.  She was born on June 10, 1931 in Orford, NH to the late Reginald and Grace (Preston) LaPorte.  She married Lenwood "Brownie" Brown and they shared almost 70 years together until his death in 2022.  

Vivian spent many years owning and operating Brownie's RVs with her husband.

Surviving family members include her children; Lenwood Brown II and his partner, Monica (Bradford, NH), Winfred Brown and his partner, Nancy (Newport, NH), Michael Brown and his wife, Johanna (Wiscasset, ME), Vivian Jache and her husband, Steve (Weare, NH) and Scott Brown and his partner, Rene (Toltec, AZ), her grandchildren: Jeremy Brown, Joshua Brown, Lenwood Brown III, Kim-ly Mobley, Tamara Croteau, Adria Brown King, Natasha Brown, Michael Brown, Kayla Brown, Elizabeth Daigle, and Courtney Thatcher-Bushey, twenty great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held in Lakeside Cemetery in Newbury, NH in spring of 2026. A remembrance gathering will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2025 from 12 to 4 PM at the Foresters Club, 38 Maple Street, Newport, NH.
