Newbury, NH: William R. Cole, Sr., 75, died on January 20, 2022 after a period of declining health. He was peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family, when he went home to the Lord.
William was born on April 26, 1946 in Woodbury, CT to the late Norman and Lillian (Hoxley) Cole. After high school, he enjoyed working for the State of NH DOT. He then worked at GTE Sylvania before opening and operating his own logging business, William R. Cole Logging.
He married the love of his life, Mary Anderson, on July 11, 1964. Together they raised two wonderful children and shared many beautiful years together.
William was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, especially bass fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents; and siblings, Norman Cole, Jr., Edith Norton, Walter Cole, Joan McCarthy, Richard Cole, James Cole, Alice Thomas, and Francis Cole.
Surviving family includes his wife, Mary Cole; son, William R. Cole, Jr. and Terri of Gordonsville, TN; daughter, Lisa Cole Morris and Richard of Bradford, NH; grandchildren, Lindsay, Christopher, Matthew, Richard, Nicholas, Molly, Natasha, and Catarina; great-grandchildren, Gabrien, Hayden, and Madison; siblings, Donald Cole of Woodbury, CT, Harold Cole of Salisbury Center, NY, Shirley Wescott of Woodbury, CT, Dorothy Merrill of Morris, CT, Arthur Cole and Linda of Port Orange, FL, Nancy Parnishkul of Woodbury, CT, and Judy LaMothe and George of Rochester, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
