It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William “Bill” Strolin, of Lempster, New Hampshire who left this world on Monday, November 17, 2025 at age 65.
Anyone that knows Bill Strolin knows that he could light up a room. He welcomed everyone as they are and had a strong need to talk to everyone. We even nicknamed him “the mayor”. He had more friends than he knew what to do with for the one simple reason… he cared. He was always willing to drop everything he was doing to help a friend or a stranger in need.
Bill was born on October 12, 1960 at Shaw Air Force base in Sumter, SC. He was born to Robert F. Strolin and Elizabeth “June” Iliff Strolin. Bill was known as a skilled carpenter. He owned a construction and remodeling business for 35 years. Prior to that, he co-owned a landscaping business with his brother, Bruce Strolin of Norwalk, CT.
Bill grew up in Bethel, Connecticut and went to Henry Abbott Technical High School for Machine Shop in Danbury, CT. Bill met the love of his life, Gabriella Lengyel in June of 1980. He proposed after dating for two years. They have been together for 45 years and were married for 43 years. Bill adored his two children, Christian R. Strolin from New Milford, CT and Vicki L. Renda from Bethel, CT.
Bill lived the final five years of his life in Lempster, NH. He lived his first (almost) 60 years in Bethel, CT. He purchased his home in Bethel from his parents. Bill will always be remembered for his outgoing personality, his strong love for his family and his funny sense of humor. He loved all high adrenaline activities like hang gliding, riding quads, dirt bikes and motorcycles or basically anything that goes FAST.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth Strolin and his older sister, Karen Hawley. He is survived by his two children and their families: Christian R. Strolin, his wife Jessica Strolin and their four kids, Anthony, Jacob, Garrett and Cole; and Vicki L. Renda and her husband Justin Renda. He is also survived by his two brothers, Robert F. Strolin, Jr. and his wife Audrey Strolin, Bruce Strolin and his wife Helen Strolin and two sisters, Kathleen Tyburski and Kristine Webster and her husband Peter Webster. He leaves behind many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Connecticut and one in New Hampshire in the spring for Bill. The family will provide more details shortly.
