Winslow Clifford Eaves was born on June 22, 1977 to late Clifford and Mary (Dorrington) Eaves. He grew up in Andover, New Hampshire and was raised with his older brother, Joshua Eaves in a very loving, artistic, imaginative and extraordinary family where there were no bounds to what the day could hold.
His family did everything you could think of to do under the sun. From building teepees to creating magical gardens that cascaded down the landscape, and lots of wonderful summer trips up to Pitchwood Island. This was a family that knew the quality of life and how to embrace it.
Winslow‘s is a family of artists in almost every medium. Winslow‘s grandfather was a renowned master sculptor, his father Clifford was a master stained glass artist and Winslow was very adept at everything he did, from sketching to wood carving.
Winslow attended and graduated from Merrimack high school and went on to study art at Syracuse University. After school, he turned his art towards a more constructive medium, and became a master carpenter, whose work still lives on today and is something to marvel at. To say he was talented would be putting it mildly, he literally would breathe creativity into anything that he touched.
Winslow was passionate about the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, fishing, and camping. The outdoors was where he felt most at home. He was very knowledgeable about everything in the natural world and enjoyed many adventures into the wild foraging for mushrooms and naming off types of trees like they were long forgotten friends.
Out of all the art he ever created, despite all the beautiful things he built, his most prized accomplishment was his two daughters. Winslow loved his daughters fiercely, and was immensely proud of the women they have become. They were a beacon to his soul and the light of his life.
He is survived by his two daughters, Alexis Morgan and Samantha Faye, his brother Joshua, and will be missed by numerous friends and family.
And as Winslow always said, c’est la vie!
A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 3 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH.
