Kathleen and David Bosma

It is with great sadness the family of Kathleen Louise Bosma (68) and David Bruce Bosma (81) of Goshen, NH inform you of their passing on Monday April 1, 2024  at Concord hospital and April 4, 2024 at Jack Byrne Center at DHMC, respectively, after injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Kathy was born June 3, 1954, in Athol, MA to Marguerite (Blackmer) Rouleau and the late Robert Rouleau, Sr. She was raised in North Orange, MA and graduated from Marhar Regional High School. Prior to retirement in December 2023, Kathy worked as a subcontractor for the USPS service for Lebanon, Croydon, Newport, Goshen and Lempster, NH.

David was born September 20, 1942, in Gardner, MA to the late Andrew Bosma and Doris (Dunn) Bosma. David grew up in Phillipston, MA and attended Narragansett Regional High School in Templeton, MA. Prior to retirement, David worked multiple jobs to support his family, such as snow plowing, driving trucks, working at scrap metal yards, and Gobin Disposal/Casella. He ran the recycling center for many years.

Kathy and David met while working at Union Twist Drill in Athol, MA. They married on May 21, 1977, and have been by each other’s side for 46 years. They raised 4 children, Paul, Kelly, Kim and Jason with lots of love, patience, and compassion. They had a fierce love for their family. They were our guiding lighthouse always illuminating life’s paths that showed us the radiance of what was important in life. Not only were Kathy and David each other’s best friends, they exchanged tokens of their love on a weekly basis through handwritten notes, cards, flowers, or gifts. Kathy was a beautiful soul with a simple kind of elegance, who was always available to help. She loved nature, gardening, crosswords, puzzles, and playing with her grandchildren. David was a kind and gentle soul, hard working, caring, and always there to give a helping hand. He loved helping mom create their gardens and loved collecting antique toys. Their smiles could fill a room with happiness. If we could reach up and hold a star for every time they made us smile, we would have the whole night sky in the palm of our hands.

Kathy was predeceased by her grandmother Dorothy (Moore) Blackmer, grandfather, Roy Blackmer, father, Robert Rouleau, Sr., brother Greg Rouleau, and daughter Kelly Bosma.

David was predeceased by his beloved wife April 1, 2024 , father Andrew Bosma, mother Doris Bosma, and brother Philip Bosma.

They will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Kimberly Friel and husband Kevin Friel of Merrimack, NH; son Jason Bosma and wife Sara of Chittenango, NY; son Paul Bosma of Keene, NH; Mother, Marguerite Rouleau of N. Orange, MA, brother, Robert Rouleau, Jr. of Athol, MA; sister Elaine St. Godard and husband Peter of Hooksett, NH; grandchildren Connor, Braeden, Caelyn, Matthew and Aidan and bonus grandchild Alise, and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Calling hours will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, from  4-6pm at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport, NH 03773.

A graveside service will be the following day, Sunday, May 19, at 11:30 am at Mill Village Cemetery on Route 10 in Goshen, NH.
