Dick was a good friend and neighbor. Although we are among the many who will miss him, he lives on in our fond memories of time spent together.

So sorry to hear about Richard's passing, he seemed like a wonderful, loving person. May friends and family find comfort from Jeremiah 29: 11, 12 where you are on God's mind, and He has "thoughts of peace and not calamity", and Isaiah 25:8 that promises that God will "do away with death forever, and will wipe away the tears from all faces".

I'M SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT RICHARD'S PASSING. HE WAS A NICE MAN AND HE DID EVERYTHING THAT HE COULD TO KEEP ON GOING BUT IT WAS TOO MUCH FOR HIM. HE WOULD SIT IN THE HALLWAY OF SULLIVAN COUNTY HOME AND LISTEN TO WHAT WAS AROUND HIM. EVERYONE ENJOYED TALKING WITH HIM. MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY IN THIS DIFFICULT TIME. I HAVE TO SAY THAT DOTTIE IS A WONDERFUL WOMAN AND WIFE TO STAND BY RICHARD EVERYDAY WHEN SHE WOULD VISIT HIM. YOU KNOW HE'S IN A BETTER PLACE. R.I.P.RICHARD. GOD BLESS YOU. LOVE, CAROLE SHAW.

Growing up next door, Richard was an amazing and kind friend to me and my siblings. I remember him showing and letting us use skateboards (I think Brad and Scott's old ones) in the driveway, and Deedot bringing out ice cream. I feel like we spent half our childhood over at their place, whether it was hanging out with the chickens out back or making wacky mini golf courses in the sand lot behind their house. Richard was always patient with us and we loved hearing his stories and being around both of them. We will miss you Richard and will always remember you.
