Thomas P. Lantas

Croydon, NH - Thomas (Tom) P. Lantas, 67, a resident of Croydon, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2017 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, surrounded by loved ones.

Thomas was born Oct. 29, 1950, in Newport and raised in Newport, son of Aleck Lantas and Leola LaFountain.

Tom made his living logging and was a son of the American Legion for 30-plus years.

He lived life to the fullest and enjoyed nature, hunting in Corbin Park, spending his last months at one of his many homes on Rockybound Pond.

He is survived by a brother, Dana Lantas; son, Alexander Lantas, daughter, Brooke Lantas, son, Anthony Lantas, all of Croydon; and four grandchildren, Gavyn Magistro, Kanesha Campbell, and Lauryn and Denali Thorson.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted by his family at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Newport Veterans Club.
