Billie I. (Perra) Hill

Sunapee, NH: Billie I. Hill, 80, died on November 1, 2016 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a period of declining health.  She was born on April 16, 1936 in Northfield, VT to the late William and Melvina (Butler) Perra. 
 
Billie grew up in Newport, NH graduating from Towle High School.  She worked at the Toy Castle in Claremont, NH where she met her future husband, Edward Hill.  They spent 62 years together.  Billie was the caregiver for her parents for 30 years.  She raised 4 children while the family travelled around the country for Ed's work.  She always kept a beautiful home and had a constant smile.  Billie enjoyed scrapbooking and building and finishing dollhouses.
She was a longtime member of St. Patricks Parish in Newport where she and Ed were married.
 
Billie was predeceased by her parents and a son, Edward R. Hill, Jr., in 2008.
 
Surviving family members include her husband of 57 years, Edward R. Hill, Sr.; sons, Jeffery W. Hill and his partner, Cheri L. Tuck, of Nottingham, NH,  and David J. Hill and his wife, Lula, of Shoreline, WA; daughter Deborah A. Pyke and her husband, David Pyke, Jr., of The Colony, TX; daughter-in-law, Carvina C. Williams of Medford, MA; and grandsons, Edward (Tripp) R. Hill, III, Andrew J. Hill, Christopher J. Progler, Jr., and Zachary A. Progler.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 10 A.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Newport, NH with burial to follow in St. Patricks Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main Street, Newport.
