Donald G. King

Newport, NH: Donald G. King, 69, of Barton Whitney Road and a lifelong resident of Newport, died on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born on February 15, 1947 in Newport, NH to the late George W. and Bertina (Fowler) King. 

Donald attended Newport schools and has lived in Newport his entire life.  He worked for United Construction for more than 45 years.  Donald enjoyed deer hunting and being outdoors.  He loved time spent with his family and their weekly family dinners. His dog, Teddy, was a constant companion. 

Donald was predeceased by his wife of almost 46 years, Wanita W. (West) King, in 2012. 

Survivors include 3 daughters, Robin King, Lisa Ayotte, and Lori King, all of Newport, 2 brothers, Richard King and Ronald King, both of Newport, 3 sisters, Barbara West of Claremont, NH, Sandra Maynard of Croydon, NH, and Caroline Fowler of Newbury, NH, 7 grandchildren, Danielle and her husband Mike, Ashley, Steven, Cheyenne, Dakota, Mykayla, and Hunter, great-grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Payten, with 2 great grandsons on the way, a grand dog, Mickey, aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.
