Robert N. Bentley

Andover, NH: Robert N. Bentley, 56, passed quietly at his home after a brief illness.  He was born on May 30, 1959 to Norman and Muriel Bentley of Newport.  Robert spent over 20 years with the Pizza Chef family of restaurants, and like other family members, enjoyed working for the Souliotis family.  "Bob" enjoyed many activities, from playing his guitar to enjoying the great outdoors, especially if it included his antique Mustang as he was also a car enthusiast.  If it was mechanical or electronic, Bob loved to tinker with it.  He, like the rest of his family, was very proud of his Scottish heritage and was an annual visitor to the Highland Games.  Bob also loved spending time with family and friends and was a devoted father and husband. 

He was predeceased by his parents, and recently his brother, Scott Bentley. 

Left behind to celebrate his life are his wife of 21 years, Melissa "Missy", his children, Emily, 22 and Sam, 20.  He is also survived by his sisters, Debra Gonyea of Newport, NH, Susan Hanson of Kellyville, NH and Heather Bentley of Pembroke, NH as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, a great grandniece, cousins, aunts and uncles. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5 to 7pm at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home, 42 Main St., Newport, NH.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Newport, NH.
