Isabell R. (Reed) Laber

Newport, NH - Isabell R. Laber, 96, formerly of School House Road, died June 29, 2017 at Sullivan County Healthcare after a period of declining health.She was born in Newport, NH on March 20, 1921 the daughter of Milton D. and Georgie (Gordon) Reed. She spent her entire life in Newport. Isabell worked as a stitcher for International and Newport Shoe Shops. She was happy as a homemaker and stated that she had enjoyed a "wonderfully dull life" taking care of her family and home. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

​She was pre-deceased by her husband, Clarence E. "Barney" Laber in 2011; daughter, Margaret Ann Laber in 2011; 3 brothers, Charles, Stuart and Milton "Tink" Reed; a sister, Elizabeth Poupart and two siblings who died as infants.

​Members of her family surviving include daughter, Marjorie Ann Hoyt and her husband, Ronald, of Center Conway, NH; and 3 grand children, Matthew, Sarah and Adam Hoyt.

​At her request, there will be no services.

​Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home of Newport, NH is assisting the family with arrangements.
