Beverly J. Cutts

Sunapee, NH -  Beverly (Jones) Cutts, 87, passed away at New London Hospital, with her two daughters at her side, on September 11, 2017.

Beverly was born on January 14, 1930 in Newport, NH to Byron and Bertha (Stearns) Jones. She was a lifelong resident of Sunapee, working as a school secretary for the elementary school and high school for many years. When she retired, she had to be replaced with not one person, but three! She married Harold Stanley Cutts on June 27, 1948 and during their wonderful fifty-five years together they brought two loving daughters into the world, Candy and Cindy.

Beverly was accomplished at many things, including cooking, and often baked sixteen dozen cookies (with one good arm!) to gift to friends at Christmas. She was a proud individual who loved making people laugh and who was passionate about animals, crafting, reading, and crossword puzzles. She self-published several children's book about her adventurous cat, Tucker. Beverly was an engaged member of the Sunapee Alumni players, the Rebekahs of Sunapee, and the Sunapee Historical Society. She was an active and dedicated member of the Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church and always enjoyed the Thursday afternoon bible studies that were considerably done at her own home.

Beverly is predeceased by her parents; her husband; brother, Russell Jones and his wife, Dot; brother-in-law, Pete Osborne; and her aunt, Helen Spencer.

Surviving family members include her daughters, Candy Cutts and her significant other person, Keith Landry, of Charlestown and Cindy Putnam and her husband, David of Claremont, NH; sister, Rachel Osborne; sister-in-law, Bette Stockwell; brother-in-law, Bob Cutts and his wife Barbara; niece, Diane Cotter; nephew, Wayne Osborne and his wife, Donna; granddaughter, Hannah Putnam; grand-dogs, Butler and Valeri; and her favorite four-legged child, her cat, Tucker.

A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11am at the Lake Sunapee United Methodist Church with a reception to follow. Pastor Cheryl Meachen will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Beverly's life.
