Raymond Lague, age 69, passed away Monday, July 3, 2017. Raymond was born in 1947 to Xavier and Angeline Lague in Claremont, NH. There, he attended Saint Mary’s High School before joining the United States Navy; a decision that brought him much pride and affection for our military services.
Raymond was a tremendous father, brother and friend to all who knew him. He was quick-witted, warm and exceptionally generous. He was a soulful councilor to those who needed someone to “just be there” or to offer wisdom gained over a well-lived life.
Raymond is survived by his two sons, Sean and his wife Karen, and Chris and his wife Kelly, his brother, Gerard Lague and his wife Sylvia, and sisters Loraine and her husband Don Hemmingway, and Beatrice and her husband Ernest, as well as 6 grandchildren: Madeleine, Alex, Sarah, Michael, Matthew and Ryan.
Raymond was a rabid Patriots fan and fortunately he was able to see Brady win his 5th Superbowl! Early in his life, many will remember him on the tennis courts, early Saturday morning, in a pickup match, making those around him smile with his antics. He loved making people laugh. He especially enjoyed his monthly breakfasts with his dear friends, Arthur and Karl Plouffe.
Family came first for Raymond. He believed in the commitment and respect that should be given and enjoyed when you are part of something bigger than yourself.
Services will be conducted on July 28, 2017 at 11AM, graveside, at Saint Mary’s Cemetery where he will be buried with his family. Services are open to the public and a procession will begin at 10:30 at Stringer’s Funeral Home in Claremont, NH.
