Ted J. Coronis

Newport, NH: On Thursday August 18, 2016, Ted Coronis, Sr. passed away after years of battling illness.  He passed away in Boston at Mass General Hospital with his family by his side and holding his hands.

Ted was born on March 7, 1959 to his parents, James and Lorraine Coronis.  He had 4 brothers, John, Charles, Nick, and Timothy.  He spent his childhood in Newport attending the local schools.  After school he joined the military for a short period of time.  He then began working at Sturm-Ruger where he spent many years in the foundry.  Then he went on to work at Homestead Industries for many more years.  He also spent his time doing carpentry before being forced to stop working due to a back injury.

Ted enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the ocean, and spending time with his family and children.  He also loved playing poker and other card games. 

His surviving family includes his mother, Lorraine Coronis, children, Adam Coronis and his fiancé Tory Sawyer, Hunter Coronis and his wife Kelly, and Ted Coronis, Jr. and his girlfriend Kirsten, brothers, John, Nick, and Timothy, grandchildren, Athena and Jackson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, James Coronis, his brother Charles, and his longtime girlfriend and mother to his two youngest children, Lois Leonard Nickerson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. 

Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
